Growing up in Sydney and attending school at SCEGGS Darlinghurst, Emily played many sports during her youth and only began to discover her passion and ability in Rugby when she was studying at The University of Sydney.
Emily has been playing since 2013 to present. She was the Australian Captain whilst playing at the World University Games for the rugby seven’s in Wales in 2016, the NSW 7s co-captain in 2016, part of the NSW 7s team from 2013-16 and has represented the XV Sydney team and Champions from 2015 to 2017.
In August 2018 she debuted for the Wallaroos on home soil at the Bledisloe Double Header at ANZ Stadium. Chancellor capped off 2018 receiving the Wallaroo of the Year award at Rugby Australia's Awards Night.
In 2019 Emily played all of the possible 4 test matches for Australia when the team won their first ever win on home soil versus Japan at North Sydney Oval. 2019 also saw Emily play Super W for the NSW Waratahs who won their second consecutive Super W Champions title. Emily received the 2019 Forward of the Year award as well as the female community service award.
Emily received 1st Class Honours in her Undergraduate Education degree and completed a Master of Management at USYD where she now works as the High Performance Assistant Manager for Sydney University Sport & Fitness.
