Jess Wuetschner plays for Brisbane Lions in the AFLW competition, having been recruited in the inaugural draft at pick 34. 

Jess was born in 1992 in Hobart, Tasmania. She first played club football at 16 in Tasmania and was playing for East Fremantle in the WAWFL when she was drafted.

She made her debut in the Lions' inaugural game against Melbourne at Casey Fields on 5 February 2017. Jess kicked two goals in each of Brisbane's 2017 and 2018 Grand Final losses.

Jess has been named in the 40-player All-Australian squad in all three years of the AFLW competition, and has made the final team in 2018 and 2019.  

In 2018, Jess placed second in the league goal-kicking award, finishing the regular season with 11 goals

The speedy on-baller balances her footballing responsibilities with a job as a steveodore at the Port of Brisbane.
